A Massage Therapist since 1977, Doug is the president of Body Work Associates, a sixteen therapist massage therapy clinic in Champaign, Illinois. Doug is also the Founder and principle instructor of Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) Seminars conducted around the country. His work is often show-cased in National Massage Magazines and other venues.

Operating for over twenty-five years, Doug’s Clinic has more than 1,000 treatment sessions conducted per month. This is quite a feat for a small town. His has a history of working with a diverse group of clients ranging from NBA & NFL players, homemakers and factory workers, to high level musicians. Doug continues to have a very active private practice at his Clinic.

Doug is passionate about his work, more specifically, about the results and research to prove it. His Clinic is the laboratory for the development and research to investigate the efficacy of PNMT work. He also supports the research done by his students. In some cases, groups of 2 or 3 people from different states have collaborated on research including sample sizes of up to three hundred people in the study.

As the Founder and principle instructor of Precision Neuromuscular Therapy (PNMT) Seminars, Doug has taught hundreds of seminars. These seminars have been presented to various populations, from physicians’ conferences to educational seminars for lay people. Doug, or one of his six other teachers, comes to the Center on a regular basis to teach the Precision Neuromuscular Therapy Series of Seminars. Several of the Massage Therapists in our Professional Massage Clinic have extensive training in PNMT and use these techniques as a part of their massage sessions.
